Philosophy Of Treatment
I practice therapy from an interpersonal position, which emphasizes how every person has a valid perspectives formed by their past and present day experiences. I strive to create a collaborative environment to explore the meaning of these experiences and resolve any impact these difficulties have on your present day functioning. Within this framework, clients experience symptom reductions, integration of conflicting aspects their lives, and application of critical thinking and analysis in new ways. Clients often report they gain deeper understanding of the way in which they perceive themselves and their relationships with others, as a result they report an increase ability to make decisions more effectively and confidently. Many clients have described a feeling of becoming "un-stuck." They also report setting better limits and increasing self-care to maintain therapeutic gains after the treatment ends.
