I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified yoga teacher. I believe everything is connected: mind, body, spirit. My intention is to help foster exploration of self, to help in identifying goals, working towards positive change, empowering one to have self-compassion, self-love, and direction.
I believe all humans can recover and there isn't one straight path to reach a destination. Everyone's journey is different therefore, there are different paths that lead to the life one wants to live.
I tend to adopt a cognitive-behavioral therapy clinical approach in addition to applying aspects of dialectical-behavioral therapy. Mindfulness and somatic work is also used throughout my sessions. Being a yoga therapist-in-training, I believe that the body stores our story, emotions, and memories. We access these experiences through talk therapy as well as through bodywork. I incorporate principles of yoga, not only postures, but also breathing exercises, meditations, and the ethical and moral codes of yoga, if appropriate to your individual needs.
